Basic Info:
  • Born on July 16th, 1992 in San Francisco
  • Chinese
  • 6'1"
  • High school: Thurgood Marshall Academic High School '10
  • College: UC Davis '14
  • Major: Mechanical Engineering

Dragon Boat Facts:
  • 5th year paddler: 4 years with TMAHS, 2 years with Ripple Effect (my school only did youth race so I was in both teams junior and senior year)
  • Right side paddler
  • I prefer wooden paddles over carbon fiber. Although I wouldn't mind using a carbon fiber during races
  • An original member of my high school team
  • Became a dragon boat captain for my high school team in sophomore year
  • Joined DRD 2 weeks before college cup
  • My original plan for joining DRD was to practice with you guys during the school year, race College Cup and May Race with DRD, then return to Ripple during the summer for Sprints, Long Beach, and Treasure Island; but meeting and getting to know all the wonderful people on the team got me to stay with DRD for good.

  • I love playing sports
  • I got more dark in less than one full season with DRD than I did in my 4 previous years of dragon boating

I didn't know Marshall only did Youth Race... and have you tried the last part of your other? FREAKING COLD!
